What are the differences between Microsoft 365 licences

Microsoft 365 offers various licenses, each with different features and pricing. Here are some of the key differences with the main licence types:

  • Microsoft Exchange Online Plan 1: You get access to a business class email with 50GB of storage and access to Outlook online.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic: get what is included with Exchange Online, plus you get access to the web versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, access to 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage and access to use SharePoint and Teams.
  • Microsoft 365 Apps for Business: You get access to the desktop apps of Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook, also get Publisher and Access, but these are only available on Windows. You also get access to 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard: Get what is included with Business Basic and Apps for Business, plus tools to create personalized documents and professional layouts, also able to schedule and host webinars.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium: Get what is included with Business Standard, plus advanced security, Access and data control and cyber threat protection.
